Political parties, unions, and NGOs of Essaouira demand the departure of Mohammad El Ferraa

20 organisations, including political parties, unions, and associations from Essaouira, have called on Abdelilah Benkirane, Head of Government, to respect his electoral promises regarding the fight against depravity.

The signatories are scandalised by the case of Mohammad El Ferraa who, one year after his sentencing to 5 years in prison in the Mutuelle Générale des Fonctionnaires des Administrations Publiques case, continues to exercise his duties as president of the municipal council of Essaouira. A fact described as unbearable and provocative by the signatories who, in the name of the city's citizens, are indignant at the retention of Ferraa at the head of the Essaouira commune, which is in a critical situation, the statement specifies.

Political parties, unions, and associations are calling on the Minister of Justice and Liberties to reveal the details of this case, and the Minister of the Interior to intervene to protect public property and the rights of citizens in Essaouira.
